This week is the big Romance Writers of America (RWA) conference in DC. The conference officially opens today and runs through Saturday. The conference features writers, editors, publishers, agents, and who knows who all else. Some events are open to the public (like the literacy signing last night), but most are only open to conference registrants. I’m not a conference registrant.

However, I’m also (at the time this is being published) in DC. It’s not far from me, and I wanted to run up here for the Rogue Digital Conference. So, I’m at the conference… sort of… but not really.

And here’s the thing. While lots of people are at the conference, lots aren’t. Romance Divas is hosting a Not Going To Conference Conference in the RD forum. It includes door prizes, workshops, and cool stuff. Plus lots of great writers. It’s free, but you do have to register with RD. Still, RD rocks hard core, and I can’t say enough good things about the utility of joining if you are interested in the ins and outs of romancelandia.

So, while the mice are away at conference, go play at RD! You know you want to.
