Countdown Begins Now!
Vacation is just around the corner. It’s so close, I can almost smell the freedom. I won’t be doing anything super exciting. Things like getting my teeth cleaned, having my blood pressure checked and my eyes checked will be on the agenda, as well as lunch with friends and a cookout. What I will be doing is finishing off all the books I need to and getting them out the door…or out the modem as the case may be.
I have my Spring reading material all pulled together. (Don’t know how much time I’ll actually get to read, but I will try to at least finish reading Runelords by David Farland).
I’ve already started my Spring cleaning early. Most of it– the major stuff anyhow, has been completed and just straightening the office and cleaning baseboards remain. If I’m feeling really ambitious, I’ll tackle the damn overfull filing cabinet.
I know, it doesn’t sound like such a good vacation. But to have 16 days off with no rules or structure or being able to just work on my stuff without worrying about having to stop to get ready to go to the night job, is so awesome. Plus, I get to spend time with the dogs and hubby. How much fun is that? I’m hoping to utilitze some of the nature trails around my house and go for some long walks. To go for a girls’ day out at the shops up near my house. Not necessarily to buy anything, but to just enjoy. I know, it sounds weird. I’m also planning on getting some CEU’s done. Very important for my state licensure. We just renewed, so the counter is set back at zero. I need 30 of them in the next two years. Most of the time I find out about conferences after I’ve already made the schedule and I’m locked in. Ughhhh. Hate that. I know about two which will happen on my vacation, so I really want to take advantage of it.
Wow! Looks like I have more than I thought going on.
